Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a GitLab Administrator to maintain and enhance capabilities in support of programs at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The candidate will be an active part of a DevOps Engineering focused team providing technical expertise on GitLab, Kubernetes, Harbor, and related DevOps technologies. They will advise on all aspects of containerized deployments including deployment, configuration, scaling upgrades, and optimization. They will play a pivotal role in development and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines. Successful candidates should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities

Operate as a Linux Systems Admin and maintain the NASIC GitLab and Nexus infrastructure platform through tasks such as installation, configuration, patching, updating, and security implementation (STIGs) in a virtual machine environment. Expected to serve on a team as point of contact for all related questions, issues, and concerns for 3rd party tool.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal GitLab Administrator:

  • One of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 3 years of experience

  • Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with GitLab Administration

  • Active CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP certification

  • Expertise in configuring/maintaining GitLab (backup, restore, upgrade, security settings, etc.)

  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence tools

  • Knowledgeable in development and maintenance of CI/CD Pipelines

  • Experience using trouble ticket system

  • Experience with Linux Operating System

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal GitLab Administrator:

  • One of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

  • Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with GitLab Administration

  • Active CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP certification

  • Expertise in configuring/maintaining GitLab (backup, restore, upgrade, security settings, etc.)

  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence tools

  • Knowledgeable in development and maintenance of CI/CD Pipelines

  • Experience using trouble ticket system

  • Experience with Linux Operating System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing automation techniques that improve deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environment

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Ruby for automation tasks

  • Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practices

  • Experience with OCI-compliant container technology and tools (Docker, Podman, etc.)

Salary Range: $95,100 - $142,700

Salary Range 2: $117,900 - $176,900

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
