Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an experienced network engineer who can lead, direct and design networks and computer systems for a large federal agency. The individual will support multiple network projects and be the lead supporting a large federal agency. This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients. Developers design, develop and test application/ interfaces and create technical documentation for applications. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Description of Work:
Perform as a Network Engineer supporting a Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program
Work onsite with the customer's technical teams and leadership to build relationships and find ways to leverage and maximize technical investment recommendations
Lead contractor team supporting Agency's CDM infrastructure program, in all Software and Hardware Engineering Support to the customer
Ensure all CDM initiatives and security policies are met, implemented, and maintained.
Rapidly gain an understanding of the customer's networks, network configurations, processes, policies, and procedures for designing, maintaining, updating, configuration network devices and appliances.
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities.
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience, Master's degree and 2 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of applied work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in ability to design and architect, and maintain OIS/DSE security software.
Deep understanding of VMware
Minimum of 4 years of experience in ability to design and architect, and maintain OIS/DSE security hardware, including; servers, Infrastructure appliance chassis, blades, and other devices.
Ability to obtain a position of public trust.
Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
Certification or other Professional security or auditing certifications a plus: CISSP, network device certifications
Deep technical knowledge of Federal Government networking devices, VMware, Linux and Windows Oss, and appliances, including processes and procedures
Deep understanding of networking tools, such as Splunk, etc.
Deep understanding of the technical aspects and requirements of the Federal Government's Continuous Diagnostics and Monitoring (CDM) Program.
