Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking aNetwork Security Technician/Analystwho will supportprojects a large federal agency. This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Description of Work:

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Become knowledgeable on the CDM technical requirements for SSA's CDM program. Understand your role in CDM activities.

  • Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products, including design of high level dashboards, using data feeds from different network tools.

  • Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.

  • May be required to prepare status and security reports to customers and to regulatory agencies.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience, Master's degree and 2 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of applied work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in performing security functions on network devices, appliances, and security tools

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in developing and tailoring reporting from network security tools.

  • Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green card holder)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

  • Prior experience supporting the Social Security Administration or similar government agencies

  • Understanding of network and security appliances and devices, and overall understanding of cybersecurity programs

  • Understanding CDM programs, CDM processes, VMware, etc.

  • Significant understanding of SPLUNK and other network security tools.

  • Experience in designing, developing and producing network solutions
