Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Subcontracts Administrator Band 3 with experiences in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. The successful candidate will become a part of

Northrop Grumman's Navigation, Targeting and Survivability Division within the Mission Systems Sector.

Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the subcontract acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of subcontracts while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases. Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users. Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules. Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and

manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.

documentation to suppliers in support of proposals and programs.

The candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in one or more areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and an understanding of both manufacturing and technology.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Six+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Bachelors degree

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR

  • Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Plus
