A CAD CAM Engineer conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with mechanical and electrical designers and/or product line engineers in the design, development, and utilization of software to create electro-mechanical designs. The engineer will determine user needs and advise hardware designers on characteristics that affect mechanical and electrical design documentation such as schematics, printed circuit boards, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and cable harness drawings and wire lists.
The candidate should be self-motivated and detailed oriented with experience working with engineering design software tools and libraries. The candidate will collaborate with electrical, components, manufacturing and other engineering disciplines in the development of hardware and software.
This position is located in Woodland Hills, CA
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience working in an engineering environment.
Ability to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and influencing others to action who are not direct reports.
System administration (Linux)
Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality. Self-starter with the ability to Independently resolve issues and deliver results.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance following hire.
Experience using the Cadence Allegro or other Electrical Engineering (ECAD) design tools.
Some experience programming in C or C++ Some experience with Centrify, NIS and ZFS on Linus
Some Windows server administration experience
Proven track record supporting the Teamcenter software in an enterprise environment.
Working knowledge of computer system infrastructure (e.g., database and server management, VMs, Cloud, etc.)
Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
