Northrop Grumman Contract Administrator 3 in Woodland Hills, California

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Contact Administrator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Integrated Digital Systems business area in Woodland Hills, California.

Position Summary/Responsibilities

Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.


Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Complete understanding application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices, independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. Able to communicate effectively and clearly.Performs comprehensive review of customer requests and ensures responses are fully responsive to requirements.

  • Must be knowledgeable of the Department of Defense contracting environment

and have direct experience with FAR and DFAR based contracts

  • Must have experience with various contract types which may include FFP,

CPFF and T&M


Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objective. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives. Monitors contract performance against evaluation criteria, as an integrated member of the business management team. Proactively communicates status to stakeholders and maintains close working relationships with functional counterparts.


Interacts with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Identifies, analyzes, and escalates risk status.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of related experience or Master's Degree with 4 years or related work experience. Related work experience may be in Contracts, Subcontracts, Pricing, and/or Business Management.

-Team player well suited to a collaborative environment

-Ability to work independently, proactively monitor and report task status, and

manage prioritization of tasks performed for a variety of different stakeholders

-Excellent communication skills
