Northrop Grumman Principal Quality Analyst in Whiteman AFB, Missouri

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Thisposition will be located at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri .

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements program quality plans, processes, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses

  • Ensures that performance, products, and services conform to established company and regulatory standards

  • Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems

  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies

  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and subcontractor representatives to assure compliance with requirements

  • Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications

  • Provides quality assurance HAZMAT and environmental, health, and safety support for the ASMC team

  • Evaluates manufacturing processes and equipment to determine capability, improve efficiency, and assure quality standards

  • Performs quality assurance inspections, processes audits and surveillance of all phases of installations

  • Assures all material components used comply with applicable standards

  • Determines procedures for controlling product and process quality

  • Reviews quality trend analyses and related quality performance and customer satisfaction data

  • Liaises with manufacturing, engineering, material management, supplier, and customer personnel to resolve quality problems

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:

  • High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 6 years of experience

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience

  • Must be willing to work flexible work schedule that may include rotating shift, extended shifts, holidays, weekends.

  • Must have expertise in aircraft modification, inspection and testing; specifications, drawings, processes and computer systems.

  • Must be able to work independently and be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a program clearance within 365 days of hire

  • Must be able to work on-site at Whiteman AFB in Missouri

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active/current B-2 Program clearance.

  • Experience in assuring compliance with quality management system standards (i.e. ISO 9001/ AS9100, AS9110, DCMA INST 8210.1).

  • Experience in assuring compliance with environmental, health and safety standards (i.e. HAZMAT, OSHA, Job Hazard Analysis).

  • Preliminary Review (PR) and Material Review Board (MRB)

  • Authority and experience related to structural, electrical and systems assembly installations highly desired.

  • Experience in field and depot-level modification or maintenance experience preferred on B-2.

  • Experience in handling classified information, components, documents and computer systems on the B-2 or other platform requiring multiple classification levels

  • Must have strong teamwork skills, ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
