Northrop Grumman's Defense Sector is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to support a program within the Defense and Intelligence Business Unit.

Roles and Responsibilities may include:

Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Responsibilities include staffing and workload forecasting; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills.

Minimal local travel is expected.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and four (4)+ years' experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries. Four additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree

• Proven record working in an agile acquisition environment dealing with dynamic requirements

• Experience leading technical execution of projects and supporting project management activities

• Experience developing project schedules/critical path to measure and communicate status

• Experience working directly with and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

• PMI PMP certification

• Active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in business and financial reporting

• Proven record working in an agile acquisition environment dealing with dynamic requirements

• Ability to grasp complex issues, independently formulate analysis and proposed solutions, lead people, manage complex activities, manage risks and opportunities, brief issues and represent the company well to the customer.
