Location: Wallops Island, VA is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in the Delmarva Peninsula and is home to the NASA Wallops Flight Facility, a government installation supported by Northrop Grumman. We are just a few hours from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia. Job Summary:

• Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the selection, configuration, and design of suborbital payload launch vehicles.

• Assist designing and maintaining rocket components, structures, and systems.

• Assist in the preparation of presentations on technical subjects.

• Practice and learn technical professional behavior including memorandum writing, email and calendar usage via Outlook.

• Complete Co-op specific projects and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

A student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university

• Majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or math related degree.

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

• Majoring in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

• Course work experience with propulsion, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.

• Experience with MatLab, SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel
