Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent . This position will be located at Vandenberg AFB and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position could have up to 10% travel. In addition, once work is completed near Roy Utah, the opportunity will shift to the missile field near Cheyenne, WY.
What You'll Get To Do:
Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work of either
the total project or, due to size, scale and complexity,
a particular scope(s), subcontractor(s), or other portion(s) of the project
Produce daily reports and utilize the program Construction Management System (CMS)
Present project status during weekly Tag-Up meetings
Provide on-the-job training opportunities for Project/Construction Engineers. Encourages and/or participates in staff training and development
Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents
Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts and purchase orders
Know the scheduled delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment
Know the submittal schedule
Update the project schedule monthly and in accordance with contract documents
Develop and maintain a three-week look ahead schedule
Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most cost-efficient manner Schedule and monitor field productivity
Working with the full time NG Safety representative, enforce the safety program (EM385-1-1)
Working with the full time NG Quality Control representative, enforce quality (USACE CQM)
Assist in resolution of scope conflicts
Participate in the project management functions
Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline and 8+ years of experience with a large-scale construction contractor. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
8 years of experience with the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc. 4 years of experience leading field operations. Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA) US Citizenship required.
Ability to Obtain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access
3 years of formal management experience
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
2 years of experience working with the US Army Corps of Engineers
Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., EM 385 1-1, USACE CQM)
Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
Salary Range: $120,200 - $180,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
