Northrop Grumman Quality Assurance is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team in Sykesville, MD. Must be able to travel up to 25 percent via any mode of transportation throughout the continental US.

The qualified applicant will join the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Quality Assurance team, supporting Power/Control Systems. We are looking for a high-caliber individual with a background in quality assurance and/or the manufacturing of complex electro-mechanical equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Quality Analyst will be responsible for planning and implementing the Quality Assurance program for Electro-mechanical assemblies (Circuit Card Assemblies, Cabinets, Cable Harnesses and Magnetics) and systems.

Activities may include:

  • Contract reviews

  • Flowing down requirements to suppliers

  • Supporting Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) at suppliers and in our factory

  • Maintaining metrics

  • Conducting and coordinating Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA)

  • Developing Incoming Inspection plans

  • Conducting and coordinating First Article Inspections (FAI)

  • Conducting and coordinating Special Process (painting, plating, welding) approval and audits

  • Supporting factory assembly

  • Training inspection and factory personnel

  • Participating in Material Review Board (MRB) and Corrective Action Board (CAB) and Audit program activities

  • Dispositioning noncompliant hardware

  • Working closely with customer and program personnel

  • Collaborating with engineering, subcontractors and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place

  • Supporting Naval field service efforts

  • Investigates complex quality problems, issues, and failures

  • Maintains the Quality Management System (QMS) and improvement efforts
