Northrop Grumman Industrial Security Analyst in Sykesville, Maryland

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst to join our team. This position will be located in Sykesville, MD. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.

Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum Education / Experience:3 Years' experience in Security or related with Bachelors; or 1 Year with Masters; An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree.

Active Secret clearance.

Working knowledge of government regulations.

Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with program management, government and security team members.

Ability to support numerous activities simultaneously and provide innovative solutions to program and security management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong personnel security and document control background.

  • In-depth knowledge of the implementation of contract DD254's

  • Knowledgeable and able to answer questions; provide procedure and policy.

  • Strong customer service and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers and across organizational elements.

  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.

  • Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Familiarity with NNPI regulations.

  • Familiar with SIMS database.
