Roles and responsibilities of the Test Engineer include, but are not limited to:•Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment•Troubleshoots and supports Power and Control Systems and Test Sets•Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements• Supports technicians through troubleshooting and training• Analyzes test data and identifies early trends• Supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions• Collaborates with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions The right candidate will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering personnel. He/she should also be self-directed, organized, team oriented and have previous experience with MS Office tools. MANUMS
Basic Qualifications: •BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field plus 2 years of relevant experience (0 years with an MS degree)•Experience with a broad range of measuring and monitoring equipment (oscilloscopes, function and waveform generators, power supplies and meters, current sensors and probes, etc.)•Familiarity with basic concepts of circuit design and troubleshootingPreferred Qualifications: •Experience with automated testing•Experience with Labview•Prior test engineering specific experience in a military environment•Prior Test Technician experience working in a lab environment Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
