What You'll get to Do:
Northrop Grumman Marines Systems specializes in the development, manufacture assembly and testing of propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.
The Manager Machining Manufacturing 2 will supervise the factory hourly Machinists and support functions of high quality, low volume, and large fabricated structures for the Marine Propulsion and Power Generation.
This position will also interface with Sr. Operations Leadership, a variety of engineering disciplines, and end customers for the products their team produces and delivers.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring all members of the team are adequately trained to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently and effectively and will support the implementation of Lean Principles and Continuous improvement efforts in their assigned areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience ; OR 12 years of continuous experience in lieu of degree.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) and/or data analysis experience.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience towards managing a Machine Shop
Firm understanding of the fundamentals of MRP.
Demonstrated proficiency at CAM functions.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
Salary Range: $114,100 - $171,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
