Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Fabrication Process Area Manager based out of Sunnyvale, CA at our Marine Systems campus.

What You'll get to Do:

The Process Area Manager of Fabrication directs all aspects and phases of Fabrication operations from inception through completion. The individual is responsible for the cost and schedule performance of Operations programs or subsystems of major programs in the Fabrication areas (Heavy Fabrication and Diaphragm Fabrication areas). Other areas of responsibility include:

  • Monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, cost performance to budgets, identifies process problems and develops solutions, and provides cost and schedule performance data/status as the Cost Area Manager for programs in area.

  • Direct the work of Supervisors and Employees.

  • Manages the Safety and Morale of assigned personnel.

  • Continuous improvement is a core competency.

  • Identifies process problems and develops solutions.

  • Manages the overhead budgets for the manufacturing process area of responsibility.

  • Demonstrates proven skills in making change and providing clear communication to leadership are a plus.

  • Demonstrates proven skill in leading initiatives and the ability to interface with all levels of management and employees.

  • Interface with Employee Union representatives as required for areas of responsibility.

  • Travel will at times be required - 10%.

  • Welding / Fabrication experience is a plus.
