Northrop Grumman is seeking a Deputy Operations Program Manager or a Principal Deputy Operations Program Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Sunnyvale, CA in support of the Columbia Dreadnought Launcher Production (CDLP) Program and other Launcher Programs.

What You'll get to Do:

The Deputy Operations Program Manager oversees and manages the financial and operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Track and manage the costs and performance of the program.

  • Be responsible for the compliance to all financial tracking processes such as formal and informal EVMS systems.

  • Support program proposal development by gathering and organizing data and preparing cost estimates.

  • Identifying / managing issues and risks in a timely manner.

  • Support internal and external customer meetings and IPTs.

  • Support review sessions with project teams to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance.

This is a dual level req and can be filled as a Deputy Operations Program Manager or a Principal Deputy Operations Program Manager.




Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience; Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience.


  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience; Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience.


  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with budget management, cost and schedule performance, and financial data analysis.

  • Ability to multi task and balance multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Working level knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CAM/EVMS experience within the Navy DoD sector.

  • Advanced Excel and data trend analysis experience.

  • Ability to manage Microsoft Project schedules.
