Northrop Grumman Budget Analyst 3/4 - Rates & Budgets in Sunnyvale, California
The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Rates and Budgets organization seeks a Budgeting Analyst 3 to support the Marine Systems rate segment.
This position is located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for all direct and indirect rate development for the Marine Systems rate segment.
Prepare Marine Systems Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP), including updates throughout the year, and ensure proposals are adequate and compliant.
Ensure all Corporate and Sector flow down updates to the FPRP are quantified for internal and external customers in a timely fashion.
Complete the monthly budget vs actuals analysis, coordinate all variance explanations, and prepare consolidated summary for management review.
Respond to all internal and external audit requests.
Support budget requests/analysis as needed for occupancy costs, depreciation, and additional ad-hoc requests.
Become familiar with the Rates & Budgets Handbook and Marine Systems Disclosure Statement; review cost center changes and any other rate changes to ensure compliance with disclosure.
Participate in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers.

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4 based on the qualifications below:
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related business discipline with a minimum of 6 years' related experience - OR - a Master's degree as described above with 4 years related experience.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related business discipline with a minimum of 10 years' related experience - OR - a Master's degree as described above with 8 years related experience.
Additional basic Qualifications for both levels:
Strong PC skills required, specifically high level Excel skills (including the ability to insert pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting, etc.).
Prior financial reporting and analysis experience.
US citizenship is required.
Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field of study.
