Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Principal Intelligence Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Planner to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Joint Staff J7 program in Suffolk, Virginia .
Responsibilities:
Supports the Joint Staff in the integration of intelligence simulation models into JS J7 JT EOD Tier II/III training program and other Joint and Coalition exercises as required
Works with the SIM/C4I group and individual model representatives for all models providing activity in the High Level Architecture/Run Time Interface (HLA/RTI); National Wargaming System Next Generation (NWARS-NG), AIR/SPACE Constructive Environment Information Operations Suite (ACE-IOS), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Air Force Synthetic Environment for Reconnaissance and Surveillance (AFSERS/MUSE), Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Virtual Surveillance Target and Attack Radar Systems (VSTARS), Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST), Automated Scripter Simulator Exercise Trainer (ASSET), JTLS (Joint Theater Level Simulation), next generation constructive models, and other models as required to ensure they support intelligence exercise requirements and are integrated into the Joint Training Configuration
Coordinates exercise joint intelligence architectures and coordinates implementation, maintenance, and repair of communications paths, which effect connectivity during exercise execution
Basic Qualifications:
One of the following:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of military and/or defense industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (CS), engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of military and/or defense industry experience
Master’s degree in CS, engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of military and/or defense industry experience
Expert level experience and background in Intelligence Community, both COCOM and tactical level Intelligence collections planning in support of COCOM and MRX exercises
Knowledge and experience in CAOC operations, be familiar with ATOs/ACOs and tasking of Theater level ISR assets
Working knowledge of the intelligence cycle, National and Tactical intelligence collections platforms, capabilities, and procedures, USMTF messages, and an extensive knowledge of intelligence support
Willing to temporarily work 12 hours shifts in support of Joint Exercises
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) security clearance with valid Special Background Investigation (SBI)
Must be able to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia
Must be able to travel as required (up to 25% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in intelligence community system planning and utilization process
Knowledge of military systems; equipment; and tactics; techniques; and procedures (TTP)
Familiar with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle
Salary Range: $88,600 - $133,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
