Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our Team as a NORTHCOM Joint Exercise Support Team Planner. This position is located in Suffolk, VA.

The NORTHCOM Joint Exercise Support Team (JEST) Planner acts in support of the Joint Event Support Team Lead (JEST Lead) to provide planning, management, liaison and coordination for assigned joint exercises/events, the joint training system, and special projects.

Duties include: Acts as the alternate (for the JEST Lead) point of contact to the JS J7 Joint Exercise Division Desk Officer and/or Event Planner for all contractor support for a given event. Responsibilities follow. Builds exercise planning schedules; forecasts labor and travel; helps develop an event budget; monitors all Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) progress for assigned events; develops and maintains the team event calendar; coordinates team member assignment and deployment; and supports/assists each functional area of the JEST as required.

The JEST planner must become intimately familiar with the NORTHCOM organization, JELC processes, and contract deliverables in order to assists the JEST lead in successful event execution. This position includes travel to locations within the NORTHCOM Area of Responsibility

Basic Qualifications:

1. Must possess a Bachelor's degree. (Additional direct relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirements. Must meet the combined minimum of 11 years between education and direct relevant experience).

2. Must possess a minimum of seven years’ experience inclusive of the following: Service and joint doctrine experience to include combat, combat support, and combat service support operations.

3. Must have experience with exercises at levels comparable to Joint Task Force, Army Corps, Numbered Air Forces and Numbered Fleet; specifically the planning, design and execution and assessment of exercises.

4. Must have the ability to: prepare and conduct seminars/work groups; conduct training in large and small groups; conduct post exercise analysis.

5. Must have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

6. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

7. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.

8. Must be able to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of the task order.

9. Must possess a current Secret Clearance and able to obtain a TS SCI clearance.

10. Must possess a current U.S. Passport.

11. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
