Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Military Trainer – Headquarters (HQ) Support Analyst Trainer (AT) and Knowledge Manager to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Suffolk, Virginia. The HQ Support AT will support the Joint Staff J7, Deployable Training Division (DTD) in its mission of conducting joint and multi-national training, exercises, and operational staff assist visits (SAVs). This program provides joint matters education and training for joint commanders and their staffs and focuses on the joint operational and strategic levels of war. The HQ Support AT will manage information for DTD internal and external services, provide general support to DTD Headquarters operations, and as required, support Deployable Training Teams (DTTs). The HQ Support AT will understand the organizational Information Management / Knowledge Management (KM) vision and develop and communicate technology solutions that best enable the team’s operating procedures and practices. The Military Analyst must be able to apply core KM principles to planning tasks for military training, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and enjoy supporting a high visibility, fast-paced military training organization. Very limited tele-work may be authorized.

Responsibilities:

  • IM/KM management and sustainment for DOD365, Joint Staff, and Intelink SharePoint portal sites on both unclassified and classified systems.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Information Management/Knowledge Management (IM/KM) best practices and procedures to provide methods of effective use of systems and tools to DTD personnel.

  • Provide support for and presentation of weekly Administration and Operations Working Groups and DTD meetings.

  • Plan, develop, and advise IM/KM, SharePoint and MS Office solutions to DTD leadership.

  • Update Site permissions and Distro Lists for arriving and departing military. Civilian, and contract personnel.

  • Navigate and observe portal and IT tool ergonomics and make recommendations for information flow, sharing, and archiving.

  • Provide training, assistance, and non-technical support to DTD personnel.

  • Provide services and products including coordination, research, analysis, and compilation / production of written documents, security clearance and travel requirements to support Deployable Training Teams (DTTs).

  • Execute other tasks as assigned by DTD leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience

  • Must be willing and able to travel both CONUS and OCONUS as needed (up to 10% of the time)

  • Must possess an active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport

  • Must be able to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft SharePoint environments

  • Ability to work with little supervision in fast-paced dynamic environments

  • Ability to prepare and conduct seminars/work groups and group training sessions

  • Ability to work with Senior Government, Military, and Contractor personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a commissioned officer, non-commissioned officer, or U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) civilian equivalent

  • Current TS/SCI security clearance

  • Joint or Service exercise experience

  • SharePoint Administrator and SharePoint Instructor experience

  • Experience in planning, organizing, and leading working groups

  • Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service planning experience

Salary Range: $59,600 - $89,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
