Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Sector is seeking a Principal Material Requirements Planning Analyst to support the materials management team, located in Sierra Vista, in office.
The Principal Material Requirements Planning Analyst acts as the focal point for functional departments and the Q4 program team to interface with regarding material planning and procurement. This individual cultivates collaboration between functional departments, and customers.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for program on-time delivery (OTD) of all procurements
Responsible for planning, executing, and mitigating schedule slips for all material purchase orders for the Q4 program
Expedite and manage the flow of spare parts, Last Time Buy (LTB) opportunities, consumables, and Unplanned Maintenance Requirements (UMRs) parts through the procurement process, with the ability to status no less than weekly to the program or functional teams
Professionally brief NG leaders and external stakeholders in procurement activities, repair and return activities, OTD schedule, and facility specific material management processes and procedures
Become the expert on the Q4 program's spares buy and its schedule, with an understanding of all parts, descopes, GFX/DMSMS challenges, and goods movement requirements
Support Request for Proposals (RFPs), capture activities, and proposal efforts within the OU and Q4 program
Using strategic thinking to mitigate risks, improve costs, and gain efficiencies within the department and facility
Demonstrating strong leadership characteristics and possess high levels of organization and self-motivation with the ability to accomplish challenging tasks in a high-pressure and short-turnaround environment, with minimal supervision
Interact and Team with cross-functional leaders and individual contributors in Program Management, Quality/Mission Assurance, Shipping/Receiving, Logistics, Global Supply Chain, and Project Management
Analyzes material requirements based on needs of component replenishments, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, engineering changes, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
Input material requisitions within MOR and 2AP databases
Support and utilize digital transformation efforts within the operating unit
Basic Qualifications
Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 10 years of relevant experience ; w ill consider 6 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree or 4 year of relevant experience with Master's
2+ years of analysis experience with Bill of Materials (BOMs), Material Requirement planning, Goods Movement, and/or Parts Distribution
2+ years of SAP experience in procurement or inventory management
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
Commitment to being responsive and customer oriented
Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DD1149's, DD-250 process, and MOCAS
Technical, Flight Operations, Logistics and/or Maintenance Background
2+ years of DMSMS experience
Experience with Global Hawk/Triton Unmanned and Autonomous Systems
Basic understanding of TeamCenter, FLIS, and DOD Logistics
Excel skills: vLookup, xLookup, PivotTables
Ability to interpret and review parts list and drawings
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and /or Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) experience
Comfortable and/or Familiar with foreign travel, culture, laws, etc
Experience in customer negotiations
Salary Range: $67,800 - $101,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
