Northrop Grumman is seeking an operations research/data analyst to work in Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center (JDPAC) within USTRANSCOM responsible for analysis and modeling of a mobility study.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide programmatic analytical support for mobility and related analysis derived from Defense Planning Scenarios,

Operational Plans as well as other official sources

• Apply advanced deployment and distribution modeling and simulation tools (e.g. Joint Feasibility (JFAST), Analysis of

Mobility (AMP))

• Determine allocations of strategic lift to requirements

• Support study lead in all modeling and analysis deployment mobility studies

• Collaborate with Joint Deployment and Distribution (JDDE) stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Science,

Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management Science with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, or subject-matter courses requiring

competence in college-level mathematics or statistics

At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus and 5 years of work experience.

• At least 5 years relevant experience

• Active DOD Secret clearance (interim clearance needed to start work)

• Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and

interpersonal skills

• Experience in heuristics based modeling

• Demonstrated skills in solving problems and responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in accredited college or university in Operations Research,

Industrial Engineering, Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management Science

• Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, mathematical and problem-solving skills
