The Missile Defense Space Center (MDSC) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Administrator based out of Schriever AFB, in Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

The Systems Administrator primary duties include installing, troubleshooting, updating/patching, and maintenance of virtualized Linux environments, lab assets, & IT infrastructure. Candidate will sustain operational uptime on Red Hat Linux systems and provide daily support for hardware and software issues, data recovery, system upgrades, software upgrades, and configuration issues.

Using reporting tools like ACAS and SCAP scans, System Administrator will perform security hardening on systems using DoD STIGs and other best practice security guidelines.

Secondary duties will include sustainment of Windows infrastructure (Windows 10, Windows 2012r2, and Windows 2016) on multiple networks to include group policy management, account creation, software troubleshooting, and active directory administration.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Active SECRET Security Clearance

  • Must have Security+ with Continuing Education (CE) or equivalent certification under DoD 8570.01-M

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Linux System Administration in a multi-user networked environment

  • Experience in Virtualization technology (VMWare)

  • Experience as administrator using Ansible, IPA/IDM identity management systems, Red Hat Satellite, and other hardware technologies

  • In-depth experience in Operations and Maintenance activities of IT infrastructure

  • Experience working with vendors to expedite installations and repairs to ensure maximum uptime

  • Experience utilizing cybersecurity software applications such as SCC, ACAS, and HBSS.

  • Experience with network device management
