This position is for a Senior Mission Analyst to support the Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) Organization on the SWDC program at Schriever AFB, CO. The OPIR Senior Analyst will guide and advise Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA) analysis efforts in support of MDA Flight Tests and Integrated/Distributed Ground Tests.

Primary duties include: technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessment, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total OPIR systems. Analyses are performed at all levels to include: concept, design, recorded background scenario generation, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and post-test results. The selected candidate shall ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems reports that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Secondary duties include: overseeing recorded background scenario generation and usage, post-test data analysis with each Flight and Ground Test executed, and Verification & Validation of Threat Modeling Implementation within OPIR Models & Simulations.

Special focus will be made in defining the Ground Test Integrated Simulation System (GTISS) architecture, design and implementation within the OPIR framework. The selected candidate will be defining the next generation of Ground Testing and working with the latest technology to enable mission success.

Additional duties include: supporting AMS OU growth and NCTA/IRAD initiatives leveraging the candidates in-depth OPIR knowledge to advance innovation within the organization.

Applicants will be required to assist in troubleshooting issues if/as they arise during Flight and Ground Test execution.

Basic Qualifications:

Can be hired at a Staff OPIR Analyst or Senior Staff OPIR Analyst

  • Bachelor's of science degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline and at least 14 years of experience.

  • Detailed working knowledge of SBIRS Mission performance/execution.

  • Basic knowledge of LINUX commands.

  • Ability to maintain and follow documented processes and procedures.

  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.

  • Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.

  • Able to work in a multi-tasking environment.

  • Interim Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD Final Secret clearance.

  • Hands-on experience generating recorded background scenarios.

  • Hands-on experience analyzing OPIR post-test data.

  • Hands-on experience analyzing Threat Implementation within OLGASIM, FOXSIM, and/or RT-RDSIM.

  • Hands-on experience working with LKSIM a big plus.

  • Detailed working knowledge of BOA performance/execution.

  • Detailed working knowledge of SIMF (RTEMS Driver) performance/execution.

  • Detailed working knowledge of OLGASIM performance/execution.

  • Detailed working knowledge of FOXSIM performance/execution.

  • Detailed working knowledge of RT-RDSIM performance/execution.

  • Scripting experience.

Salary Minimum for Colorado location: $141,440

Salary Maximum for Colorado location: $212,160

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
