Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support The Threat Modeling center in Colorado.
This position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) to provide full-lifecycle systems engineering activities for Internal Research and Development (IRAD). This work is dynamic, with changing requirements and direction as more and less productive avenues of research are identified. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and an ability to respond to changing direction.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Develop a detailed understanding of the current Ballistic Missile Defense System
Develop a detailed understanding of new and evolving threats
Develop, document, maintain, and update requirements in support of IRAD project goals
Support software development in an agile software development environment
Perform detailed analysis and test throughout the development lifecycle
Participate in requirements, architecture, and design reviews and prioritization and peer reviews of work products
Technical degree such as Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related branches of engineering
2 years of relevant technical experience
Modeling, Simulation, and automation experience
Must be self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic team environment
Must possess good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong math, physics or engineering background is preferred
Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters necessary to model ballistic missiles is highly desirableNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
