The SWDC Software and Digital Technologies team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

Junior-Level Software Engineer to support the Ballistic Missile Defense International Simulation (BMD I-Sim) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program. The job location is at Schriever AFB, CO.

Position requires a software engineer experienced in automated test, continuous integration and script development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Candidate will help design, develop, test, document and maintain continuous integration, test and deployment products for the Ballistic Missile Defense International Simulation (BMD I-Sim) organization using C#, MSSQL, Powershell and other programming/scripting languages on Windows operating systems. Primary responsibilities include designing, developing, monitoring and maintaining a suite of software tools to ensure proper build, test and validation of the software. Candidate will help maintain the entire continuous integration and test suite, as well as perform integration of new scenarios, capabilities and upgrades.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • 2 Years of experiencewith Bachelors in Science, Technology. Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline; 0 Years of experiencewith Masters in STEM related discipline.

  • Proficient in C++, C#, MS SQL, Powershell, Java, or similar programming language

  • Knowledgeable in developing software in C# and/or Java

  • Knowledgeable of object oriented software development

  • Knowledgeable of Windows platforms

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in developing software in C#, MS SQL, Powershell and/or Java.

  • Knowledgeable in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform

  • Knowledgeable in agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban

  • Knowledge in several of the following:

  • missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development

  • Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
