Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Resilient Network Solutions (RNS) operating unit. As part of Northrop Grumman's business focus area on Communications, RNS provides world-class communications with a range of capabilities spanning from quick reaction/urgent need programs to complex communication integration efforts.

Work to be performed in San Diego, CA with the possibility of up to 20% travel.

Roles & Responsibilities: Performs requirements analyses, requirements management, system design, trade studies, technical reports, and supports various other systems engineering activities as necessary. Performs system engineering process planning. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

ERCOMMS

Basic Qualifications:

BS in engineering/related technical discipline from an accredited institution

Two years experience with a bachelor’s degree or zero years experience with a master’s degree.

US citizenship required.

Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Experience in systems engineering, requirements definition, trade studies, and system design.

Be able to perform requirements analysis and derive lower level requirements from customer needs.

Able to manage requirements in a requirements database and work with configuration change control for disciplined requirements changes.

Working knowledge of system specifications and system design documents.

Guide requirement verification at system level and provide traceability to the lower level requirements.

Working understand of TCP/IP, Cisco switches and routers, Windows Domain Controller, Linux administration

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of ClearQuest, and requirements database tools is a plus.

Cyber Security knowledge is a plus.
