Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Staff Electronics/Sensor/EO/IR Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.
The selected candidate will research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, Sensors and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. This role is in direct support of the High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) Global Hawk program.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of Engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and 12 years of (job specific) engineering experience
An active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance or higher
The ability to obtain program access
Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
15 plus years of experience in RADAR, COMMS, SENSORS and System Engineering with Autonomous Vehicles or Aerospace Systems.
Experience in Earned Value Management, CAM roles and responsibilities, and Proposal Development
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Active, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance
