Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Supplier Management Team Lead (SMT) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.
The Sr. Principal Supplier Management Team Lead reports to the Mission Systems IPT Lead and is the IPT's and Global Supply Chain's (GSC's) primary interface to the supplier for communication or payload systems.
The SMT Lead will be responsible for:
Coordinating the efforts of the SMT, including engineers, the subcontracts administrator, supplier quality assurance representatives, logistics engineers, the cost account manager, the scheduler, and the material planner.
Coordinating and managing the execution of all phases of supplier performance, including planning, proposals, new capability development, production, testing, deliveries, and sustainment.
Conducting or coordinating review of supplier documentation (e.g., technical evaluations of proposals, acceptance test procedures, cost and schedule reports, software version description documents).
Reporting supplier status to Program Managers, GSC managers, and IPT Management.
The selected candidate should thrive working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, engaged in significantly diverse assignments, within a collaborative/team setting across all levels of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 9 years of experience or Master's Degree in STEM with 7 years of experience or 4 years with PhD..
Active DoD Secret clearance or DoE equivalent (will be needed to start)
Experience managing suppliers as part of a government/DOD contractExperience with T&M, CPFF, FFP contract types
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to learn data analysis processes and techniques
Experience with Requirements development/flow down
Experience with negotiations
Experience with technical evaluation of proposals
CAM/EV training
Product lifecycles and government acquisition process related to selling, development, LRIP/production, sustainment
Repair management, DMSMS evaluations, MRP requirements
Experience in supplier statement of work generation

Salary Range: $129,700 - $194,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
