Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a seniorElectronics HardwareEngineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This will be for our San Diego, CA location.
As part of this organization you will join a team of talented engineers toperform design,integration, and testingof GroundControlSystems (GCS)for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in GCS hardware and avionics
Proactively work with other cross-functional groups such as air vehicle, ground segment, payloads, software, quality, production, and test.
Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Develop advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product
Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
Act as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Perform lab integration and test.
Author and release technical documents.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.
Must have at least 14 years of STEM related experience or 12 years and a Masters in a STEM related field.
Significant experience with Ground System design or architecture.
Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, with Special Program Access
Must be able to travel up to 25%.
Active Top Secret Clearance.
The desire and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Systems Engineering experience.
Ability to act as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
