Northrop Grumman Quality Analyst 3/4 in San Diego, California

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seekinga talented Quality Analyst to join our team in San Diego, CA.

The Quality Analyst will develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. This person will be responsible for overseeing the following functions for Mission Assurance: QMS Compliance, Data Retention, Stamp Control, Monthly Metrics, Weekly Activity reports, Area Surveillance, Customer and industryalerts.

*This role may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4 based upon the below qualifications.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • 6+ years of experience working in manufacturing or quality with a bachelor's degree (or 10+ years of experience in lieu of degree)

  • Excellent Written and Verbal communication skillsAbility to process and analyze data quickly to identify area for improvement opportunities.

  • Proficient using MS Office, including Word, Excel and power point

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

  • 10+ years of experience working in manufacturing or quality with a bachelor's degree (or 14+ years of experience in lieu of degree)

  • Excellent Written and Verbal communication skillsAbility to process and analyze data quickly to identify area for improvement opportunities.

  • Proficient using MS Office, including Word, Excel and power point

Preferred Qualifications for a Level 3 and a Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with SAP and Solumina.

  • 6+ years of experience working in Aerospace and Military manufacturing or quality

  • Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills
