Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

The selected candidate will support program management in executing multiple development activities.

Essential Functions:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Good communication skills are necessary permitting direct interaction with all levels of an organization, up to and including VPs.

This is a high visibility role that gets to integrate vertical and horizontally across the IPT to ensure successful program execution. Be prepared to do something different and challenging every day: tackle problems, and generate solutions.


Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3 years of experience in applying standard project management principles and practices is required. Proficiency in the use of the MS-Office suite and MS-Project is required along with experience in the use of Earned Value as a tool for managing project cost and schedule. An active Top Secret DoD clearance and the ability to obtain special access program access is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP certification is a plus. Experience in assisting with the management of program level projects is also preferred.
