Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Project Manager. This position will be located at our Aerospace Systems Sector in San Diego, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of the Northrop Grumman's Global Logistics & Modernization organization.
The selected candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison betweenproject management and planning, project team, and line management.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develop mechanisms for monitoringproject progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, functional managers, and clients.
Six years related Project Management experience with aBA/BS degree; four years with a Master's degree.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
General familiarity with Product Support discipline and the Technical Publications development process in particular.
Familiarity or coursework that includes Earned Value Management and MS Project.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
