Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented individual to lead a team of cross-discipline specialist engineers located in San Diego, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:
Assisting in providing direction in an IPT leadership position to design, development, and integration of highly effective, affordable, and low risk utility systems. This position will execute processes and procedures of the IPT and track and control the technical, cost, and schedule objectives of the IPT. This position requires strong interpersonal skills in order to lead, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external executive leadership.
As a Level 3 Manager, a successful candidate will regularly analyze actions and alternative courses of action. Decisions made will have risk and reward implications for the IPT. This Manager will be responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational group. The Manager will also be an advisor to lower level managers and exempt employees. Helps meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. This position develops, administers, and advises budgets and standards of performance, and influences and impacts strategy through their role. This Manager will exert influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
This position requires integration and coordination with the Functional Homeroom, and acts as the liaison for information and communication.
Bachelor's Degree in a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Field from an accredited university.
Minimum 7 years of engineering and/or project management experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret level clearance required and ability to maintain clearance throughout the duration of the assignment.
14 years relevant technical experience
8 years project management experience
Experience with Autonomous Systems in Agile Software Development
Top Secret/SAP/SCI level clearance
