Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems - Vehicle engineering functional homeroom and Tactical Air Systems (TAS) program office is seeking Air Vehicle Engineering Manager, supporting the program manager of TAS. The Manager will lead a cutting-edge and inventive multidiscipline group of engineers whose responsibilities include both Air Vehicle design & Analysis activity as well as mission systems. This position will be located at the San Diego Autonomous Design Center of Excellence in San Diego California.
In this role, you will be relied upon to:
Handle cost, schedule and quality of deliverables on the Fire Scout Program.
Lead a multi-functional engineering team.
Coordination with the Chief Engineer, Program Management, Systems Engineering & Integration and other fields to ensure the program baseline is executable.
Assessing risks and developing mitigation plans on deliverables.
Identifying and executing opportunities that optimize cost, schedule and quality.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
This position requires approximately 25% travel.

Bachelor's degree in engineering field from an accredited institution
At least 9 years of related experience (preferably in Air Vehicle Development and production)
Experience managing a multidisciplined team
Experience in supporting Flight operations
An active DoD Secret clearance
Master's degree from an accredited institution
At least 12 years' experience in Aircraft Development
Experience leading a larger teams in excess of 50 people
Experience with earned value management/EVMS
Experience in CAM
Experience in Program Management
Experience in Supplier Management
