Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting our Resilient Network Solutions (RNS) program. This position will be located at the Spectrum Center campus in San Diego, CA. Resilient Network Solutions (RNS) is an operating unit within the Communications division of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. As part of Northrop Grumman's business focus area on Communications, RNS provides world- class communications with a range of capabilities spanning from quick reaction/urgent need programs to complex communication integration efforts.
Our BACN program is the leading supplier of airborne networks, providing flexible content delivery solutions for C2, ISR and disaster relief customers worldwide located at the Spectrum Center site in San Diego, CA.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for executing strategic business goals while collaborating with engineering and program management in order to meet customer and program commitments; managing the quality and production of products; leading day-to-day operations of multiple work centers within the department; continuous hands-on coordination of Work in Progress (WIP), resources, material and disposition of daily issues related to the assigned department; use continuous improvement methods and techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
8or more years working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working in a DoD manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a priorlead or management position.
Experience developing and driving continuous improvement projects.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
BS degree in an Engineering or STEM related discipline.
Understanding of Electro-mechanical Assembly and Cable Assembly.
Experience with driving employee development.
Experience with SAP and other shop floor control systems.
Proficient in ESD training and certifications.
ActiveSecret Clearance preferred.
Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift
