Northrop Grumman Laboratory Technician 2 in San Diego, California

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Laboratory Technician 2 to join our Avionics & Tactical Networks (ATN) teams located at the Rancho Carmel campus in San Diego, California.

We deliver complex equipment to enable modern battlefields and support aviation missions. Our focus is on the world of avionics, radio and electronic warfare product applications to enable networked communications. As part of the

corporation’s business focus area on Communications, we are the “equipment

providers.� Our team of communication systems experts is developing next-generation ground radios for land forces, and our Electronic Warfare subject matter experts are creating the next generation of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) countermeasures to keep our soldiers safe when in harm’s way.

Roles and Responsibilities:

†Swapping Test Equipment for calibration.

†Operating network analyzers, Oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.

†Building and assembling test stations, cables, and verification.

†Perform procedures to properly back up and image PC's.

†Troubleshooting test station issues by following drawings and schematics.

†Test station preventive maintenance.

†Provide good customer service.

MANUMS

Basic Qualifications:

†Associates or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of experience; 4 or more years of related experience with High School Diploma/GED will be considered in-lieu of degree.

†Familiar with operating network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.

†Ability to follow procedures to properly back up and image PC's.

†Ability to troubleshoot test station issues by following drawings and schematics.

†Ability to conduct test station preventive maintenance.

†Provide good customer service.

†Able to take direction and work autonomously.

†A self-starter a plus.

†Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

†Experience swapping test equipment for calibration.

†Experience building and assembling test station, cables, and conducting verification.

†Keysight and National Instruments (NI) Test Equipment experience a big plus.

†Production environment experience a plus.

†Active Secret Clearance a plus.
