TheSystemsIntegrationEngineering and Testteam at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Engineering Technician 2based out of San Diego, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits, troubleshooting electronic equipment; and conducting routine preventive and remedial maintenance on equipment. Produces engineering documentation, Reports, Procedures, and Drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Uses Test and Simulation computers in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. Performs basic equipment installation tasks in accordance with detailed technical documentation, data and guidance from engineers or higher-level technicians.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
High School Diploma with 2 years of related experience
Experience troubleshooting hardware components and subsystems utilizing hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
Basic knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques for mechanical and electrical assemblies
Working knowledge of electronic test equipment used for preventive and remedial maintenance, i.e., oscilloscopes, vector scopes, volt-ohm meters, frequency counters and generators, logic analyzers/emulators and waveform monitors.
Ability to perform physical tasks including, but not limited to, moderate lifting (45 pounds) and climbing
Ability to understand the basics of 28VDC, 120/60Hz and 115/400Hz power
Experience in supporting various Hardware and Software System Integration Lab (SIL) activities
Effective oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
A.A from an accredited college or technical school with major course work in either Information Technology, Electrical Engineering
Electronic assembly, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair on standard and OEM products
J-STD-001 Certification: Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies or equivalent
IPC/WHMA-A-620-B Certification: Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies or equivalent
Test and Integration experience with military radios and communications terminals such as: PRC-117, PSC-5, ARC-210, SADL, and MIDS LVT1/2/4/11, Common Data Link
Engineering design, CAD and 3D modeling (Solid Works), Lab View, and MATLAB
