Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Engineering Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Rancho Bernardo (near San Diego, CA). You'll be performing radar cross sectional measurements to determine design accuracy.


  • Support Radar Cross Section (RCS) and Radio Frequency (RF) testing of test articles and antennas

  • Mount and dismount test articles on a test support pylon

  • Will be expected to work in man lift at height of 65 feet

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and/or fabricate test equipment (production and prototype)

  • Assist in the verification, development and documentation of test procedures and special applications by interpreting product specifications

  • Will work multiple shifts


The ideal candidate has radar experience and advanced military technical training. You enjoy aviation and are motivated to grow within the company.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience

  • US Citizen

  • Current Active DOD Secret clearance

  • Ability to use standard tools and shop equipment

  • Ability to work at heights up to 65 feet

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous electronics or radar work experience

  • Aerospace, manufacturing or military experience

  • Computer skills / Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)

  • Crane operations, rigging and lifting, forklift operation, cable handling, model weight and balance checks

  • Network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies and power meters
