Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, California.

The selected candidate will perform all aspects of system integration in a lab environment and onsite with delivered hardware for the customer.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of review milestones. The candidate will be executing tasks in one or more of the following System Engineering disciplines: requirements/architecture development, system integration, and system verification. The position requires systems thinking and a working knowledge of the full development life-cycle processes that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Candidate must exhibit strong leadership characteristics in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks.

SYSENG

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office

  • Ability to travel internationally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) is preferred

  • Experience in Systems and Mission Systems Engineering and Systems Integration and Test

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Autonomous Systems, Autonomy, Low Observables, Electronic warfare, Advanced Sensors, C4ISR

  • Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
