Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly motivatedSystem Engineer Level 2 to work on Global Hawk, the US Air Force premier airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance platform.
The selected candidate is skilled in many areas and has experience in a lab environment supporting various space, aircraft, and ground systems. We looking for a motivated Systems Engineer who's eager to learn.
Familiarity with electronic systems and circuits, or mechanical systems, as well as real-time executable software is required.
Identify and adjudicate identified hazards, and should have experience with military aircraft, as well as a working knowledge of aircraft concepts and operations.
Technical responsibilities include generation of customer deliverable items.
Help provide Risk Assessments, as required, along with recommended mitigations to reduce risk to an acceptable level
Working Groups with the Customer, presenting technical material at major Program reviews.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of engineering experience
Active interim or DoD Secret clearance to start
The ability to obtain program access
Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of Systems Engineering experience
Tactical Data Links, RF characterization, various RF waveform modulation techniques
Functional vs physical requirements
Work EMI/EMC requirements and testing
Understand and help define overall aircraft systems, KPP/TPMs, etc.
Work with the test engineering function
Support Airworthiness activities
Final DoD Secret clearance
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
