Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a SoftwareEngineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, integrate and maintain Mission software and support tools

  • Utilize software engineering best practices and standards

  • Participate in the full life-cycle activities of software development to include requirements, modeling, design, implementation, unit and integration test, release, installation and maintenance in an Agile development paradigm

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in STEMwith at least 2years experience, or a MS in STEM with no experience

  • Experience in object-oriented analysis and design

  • Experience developing software with C/C++ - targeted for Linux or an RTOS environment

  • Experience writing Python scripts

  • Must have an active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance.Background investigation must be within the scope of six years.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and program specific accesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks or service oriented architectures

  • Experience developing software for embedded systems

  • Experience with Agile software development and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo, Fisheye, etc.)

  • Experience with Rhapsody modeling for software design

  • Experience with DOORS for software requirements

  • Experience with COMSA

  • Experience with Requirements Verification Test (RVT) development
