Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in San Diego, CA hasopenings for Engineer Software 2 to support the TacAir F-5 Program. The F-5 Program will modify six F-5 aircrafts to upgrade the radar, create digital architecture and software, upgrade cockpit controls and displays and modify other avionics and airframe. The software engineers will support the development of Stores Management, Strike Management, and digital cockpit displays.
Develop, modify and maintain customized or standardized Open Mission Systems (OMS) applications using Common Open Missions Systems Architecture (COMSA)
Apply software engineering best practices and standards
Participate in software engineering activities using the Agile software development model.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Have strong interpersonal skills
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline.
Experience in object-oriented analysis and design
Experience developing software with C++ Experience integrating subsystems with C++ Experience developing software targeted for Linux
Experience with OMS or COMSA
Experience with Stores Management or Strike Management
Experience with Wind River Linux
Familiar with Agile software development
