Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Hardware Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. We are looking for a talented individual to perform Hardware Systems Integration on Ground Control Stations (GCS) for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). As a hardware engineer you will be an integral member of an team providing technical support to Department of Defense Customers.
Proactively work with other cross-functional groups such as software, quality , reliability, production, and test. .
Work closely with customers and suppliers so professionalism and good communication is a must.
Perform lab integration and test.
Release technical documents and drawings.
Review and provide input on supplier technical documents.
Preform upgrades on fielded hardware.
Average travel for this position is 25% and will be to customer sites in and outside of the continental US.

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Must have at least 2 years of Engineering experience or 0 years with a Master’s Degree in a STEM related field.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
Must be able to travel up to 25%.
Active Secret Clearance
Experience with COTS IT Hardware (servers, network, and storage)
Demonstrated experience in DoD military electronics/avionics equipment
Project Management experience
Excellent communicator, both written and oral
Prior field experience
