The candidate will perform duties as a DMS Engineer for multiple programs in the Unmanned System portfolio in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The candidate will be responsible for USAF, Navy and international DMS contract efforts for various systems that may include Air Vehicle systems, Communications and payloads including cost, schedule and technical aspects of the programs. Key aspects include working effectively with the execution Integrated Product Teams, functional organizations, customer Points Of Contact and other teams to predict, propose and develop DMS resolutions supporting production schedules, sustainment and repair lines so that production is not work stopped and repairs can be executed to meet readiness goals.
The candidate will analyze and project logistic support to meet system lifecycle requirements, support proposal development and provide internal and external presentations on DMS, readiness and sustainability. The candidate will work with suppliers to ensure DMS issues are resolved at the lowest cost while maintaining high quality, reliability and supporting schedule requirements. The candidate must have good computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
Candidate will be an overall DMS lead for existing and new programs, meeting with customers, providing presentations and analysis of DMS issues.
Solid presentation building and briefing skills will be expected in order to interact with other Integrated Product Teams, suppliers and customers. Excellent written and oral communication skills will be needed to develop and defend white papers to describe problem areas with recommended solutions.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field and 9 years of experience, 7 years with Masters.
Prior DMSMS experience a plus
