Northrop Grumman DevOps Engineer 4 in San Diego, California

Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking a well-qualified DevOps Support Engineer to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Rancho Bernardo, CA or Herndon, VA area.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform as primary DevOps Support Team lead for large unclassified and classified government contracts

  • Able to communicate effectively with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.

  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, development, Software Application, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.

  • Able to support multiple integrated systems in a DevOps platform. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary.

  • Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.

  • Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including scripting, integration, problem resolution, and configuration management.

  • Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.

  • Develop and document automated technical processes and software test procedures as needed.

  • Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.

  • Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.

  • Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

ESCSO Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience or 13 years of relevant experience lieu of degree.

  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an secret clearance.

  • Strong communication skills required to support frequent customer interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational Experience, preferably with CI/CD Automation, Jenkins, TeamCity, Atlassian.

  • Agile process awareness and experience working within a sprint based delivery model.

  • Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP or similar security certification.

  • VMWare experience with CodeStream or VMware vRA.

  • Scripting for DevOps processes.

  • Infrastructure and Application packaging, Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience with Certification & Accreditation process.

  • Currently Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
