We are looking for you to join our team as a CONUS Engineering Manager 1 based out of San Diego, CA . As a CONUS Engineering Manager I at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll get to Do:

This CONUS Engineering Manager will be responsible for supporting the CONUS and OCONUS technical teams supporting Field Engineering programs at various field sites throughout the Middle East. A CONUS Engineering Manager within the Airborne Sensors & Networks-West (ASN-W) Field Engineering organization is expected to maintain the highest standards of Character, Leadership and Professionalism. Specific Key Duties and Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Control Account Manager for CONUS and OCONUS installations and service packs

  • Integrated Product Team Lead for CONUS and OCONUS installations and service packs. The successful candidate must have the ability to solve technical problems of increasing scope and complexity. The candidate must be able to use standard desktop computer and Windows based tools to produce or edit documents including drawings, plans, procedures and reports.

  • Know and understand the Technical contractual obligations of the BACN Contract and Statement of Work (SOW)

  • Ensure contractual obligations and engineering standards are met.

  • Manage/Lead all aspects of CONUS / OCONUS ASN-W Technical Team performance to include: Payload MX scheduling and tracking for all sites, troubleshooting technical issues, submitting required reports to ASN-W and program management, technical team training.

  • Manage/Lead the ASN-W support to engineering for CONUS design of payload software and hardware upgrades for BACN.

  • Responsible for ASN-W inputs to Engineering NG451 documentation updates.

  • The candidate will work closely with the Military/Government customer as well as internal Northrop Grumman teams

A minimum of 10% travel and overseas deployments is expected as part of the assignment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a technical discipline and at least five (5) years' experience related technical work experience (to be assessed based on individual candidates experience and work history), three (3) years with a Master's degree.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance (or above).

  • Familiarity with communications technical system capabilities, military communications operational requirements.

  • Familiarity with U.S. Tactical Data Link capabilities.

  • Familiar with US Military rank structure.

  • Experience in supporting deployed operations.

  • Excellent customer relations skills.

  • Excellent communications skills, both written (develop briefs and white papers) and oral communication.

  • Proficient in MS office applications including Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM)

  • Experience directly or indirectly managing people preferred.

  • Understanding of industry IA standards.

  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II or greater certification (Security +)

  • Candidate shall have broad experience with the operation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of military communications systems, networks, and radios.
