Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Contracts Administrator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo facility).

The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for facilitating proposal and contracts activities in support of the Global Hawk Program. Duties include proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Also responsible for monitoring contract performance, requirements, and change management to ensure compliance. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Position includes customer interface, project review participation and contract closeout. Candidate will work with Contract Management, Program Managers, Business Management, Subcontract Management and others to meet contract requirements. Must have experience dealing with government and/or commercial contracting and have a solid understanding of the FAR, DFARS and general contract principals. Must be highly productive in daily routine, and demonstrate good oral and written communications skills along with strong computer literacy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 Years of Contract Administration experience or related field

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline OR a Master's Degree with 4 years of Contract Administration experience or related field.

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulations associated with government contract acquisition and fulfillment

  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong negotiation skills

  • Advanced Degree (MBA or Law)

  • Experience with incentive fee contracts

  • Active Security Clearance
