Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Configuration Analyst4 / CM Leadto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego.

This job posting is for a Configuration Management (CM) professional for the Autonomous Design COE Systems Engineering Center.

Essential Functions:

Oversees and participates in the operational aspects of ongoing Configuration Management activities for the program and assists Data Management (DM) activities as required. Serves as the technical expert in all areas related to Configuration Management, offers guidance and mentorship to the CM and DM team, assesses CM project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Collaborates across all programs to ensure consistency and application of CM best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a detailed working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)/Software Engineering Institute (SEI) principles, and Change Board/Change Management processes and procedures. Hands-on Product Data Management (PDM) tool experience is a necessity. The candidate must have a proficient knowledge of MS Office applications and experience working in a technical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the release and control of data in the PDM system. Responsibilities will include the review of design drawings and documents for release requirements, verification of elements of the Build-To-Packages, release of design drawings, models, and documents, and also the updates of status and product baselines in the CM tool. Other responsibilities include updating the status accounting system to provide traceability of configuration baselines and produce configuration status reports. Update system and subsystem-level hardware and software configuration identification; perform audits on drawings, documentation and PDM database; create and update CM processes and procedures; and participate/co-chair configuration management meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years industry experience or a Master's Degree and at least 8 years of experience. Industry experience must have included Configuration & Data Management experience on Department of Defense (DoD) programs

  • Previous working knowledge of Configuration Management

  • Proficient in MS Office suite, SharePoint, and Teamcenter

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)

  • Expertise in Data Management principles and processes

  • Experience in Software Configuration Management

  • Experience in Change Integration

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
