Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Communications Responsible Engineer (TRMC)/Principal Communications Responsible Engineer (TRMC) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be a HYBRID role and is supported out of San Diego , CA.
**This position may be filled by either a Communications Responsible Engineer (TRMC) level or a Principal Communications Responsible Engineer (TRMC) level based on the qualifications listed.
The Comms Electronics Engineer will be responsible for:
Research, design, development, integration, and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM and Communications Networks.
Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers.
Reporting Comms status to Program Managers and IPT Management.
Primary Responsible Engineer for complex communications subsystem, supplier technical interface, and focal IPT representative for integration support.
The selected candidate should be a self-starter and thrive working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, engaged in assignments across multiple engineering disciplines, within a collaborative/team setting on all levels of the organization.
Qualified candidates should be prepared to research, design, develop, integrate, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radio and other communications equipment and network systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.

Active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain to Top Secret.
Ability to perform up to 25% travel
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of experience OR 0 years' experience
Active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain to Top Secret.
Ability to perform up to 25% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of networking strategies including TCP/IP, SD-WAN
Familiar with current network products and technologies such as routers, firewalls, and switches
RF and digital system design & analysis
Antenna theory and operation
COMMS Wideband and Narrowband integration and testing. Iridium, INMARSAT and Starlink a plus.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $127,400
Salary Range 2: $104,600 - $157,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
